Cost

1Besides the cost of the lift, what other costs are associated?
In addition to purchasing their lift, customers need to keep in mind the three main variables of lift installation:
  • Floor strength
  • Power availability, and
  • Accessibility.
A proper technical evaluation of the individual space by qualified personnel is the best way to determine accessibility and whether or not flooring or electrical work needs to be performed; if so, costs will vary depending on the local market value of materials and labor hours required for the job.
Please refer to the “Installation” section of this FAQ to learn more about flooring and electrical requirements.

Operation

1How do I operate my duplii system?
All duplii systems are easy and safe to operate. Every duplii comes with a standard control panel to perform all those mechanical operations the lift is designed to perform; however, since we design and manufacture our own UL Certified and 100% made in America control panels, customers may choose to customize and automate their controllers to perform many other additional functions.Functions from a standard control may include:
  • On
  • Lift – Lock
  • Release – Descend
  • Off
  • Safety Shut-Off

Additional functions may include (but are not limited to):
  • Collecting, storing and exchanging data for performance, monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting purposes
  • Remote monitoring, troubleshooting & technical support
  • Remote system operation

All platforms may be locked in several height positions to fit specific needs or to accommodate different ceiling or vehicle heights. Platforms may be locked in any of the available locking points using the controls.
2How long does duplli take to raise and lower?
All platforms will lift or descend at a rate of 30 to 40 seconds per level.

Installation

1WARNING: BEFORE INSTALLING OR OPERATING A LIFT YOU MUST ALWAYS CAREFULLY READ ALL INSTALLATION AND OPERATING MANUALS
2I am concerned about my available space. How much space do I need to fit a duplli system?
All duplii systems fit in a typical parking stall of 8’ x 15’. Your choice on the number system levels (from two to four) will depend on height availability in the installation space. Please refer to the technical data sheet of each system for height requirements.
3Can duplii be installed in any surface?
In order to ensure maximum safety and proper operation, duplii systems must be bolted to a concrete surface with a minimum capacity of 3000 PSI (Pounds per Square Inch); with the exception of the 7K4 (Four Post Vehicle Lift) that does not require (although always recommended) to be bolted to the ground. Current building codes requires a minimum of 3000 PSI concrete flooring on all standard garages, so if your garage was built in the last 10 years, chances are you already comply with this requirement.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Carefully read the full manual before installing and/or operating a lift.
4What if I don’t have a concrete surface?
The most reliable options to guarantee the safe installation and operation of all duplii systems are concrete casting and concrete reinforcement. A general contractor or concrete professional may be able to design and build a concrete platform or foundation for each system.
If unsure about the PSI or resistance of an existing surface, a contractor can help both perform a PSI test and/or reinforce the existing concrete footing where the system will be installed.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Carefully read the full manual before installing and/or operating a lift. Always make sure to work with licensed and insured contractors properly registered in the city or state where services will be performed.
Local Services Available: If you are in the tri county area comprised by Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties in the state of Florida, duplii will be able to coordinate and perform this service for you. For more information about local services, click here.
5How do I know if my existing concrete surface complies with PSI requirements?
Depending on the build date of the property or surface, a concrete test may be required to guarantee it complies with minimum PSI requirements. There are many independent companies that perform this type of tests. Customers may resort to local directories or online search engines to find the company closest to the installation area.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Carefully read the full manual before installing and/or operating a lift. Always make sure to work with licensed and insured contractors registered the city or state where services will be performed.

6How do I know if my existing power source complies with installation requirements?
In order to install and operate a duplli system you need a dedicated outlet. If any upgrading work is required, we recommend you hire a local electrical contractor to help you with this simple installation.
To learn specific electrical requirements for each system, please refer to the technical data sheet of said system.

WARRANTY

1What is the warranty coverage period on my duplii system?
All duplii products carry a 15 year warranty in parts and labor (with maintenance contract) or 1 year in parts and labor without maintenance contract.
2What is the cost to maintain/service the equipment?
As a car needs regular oil changes for best performance, all systems need to be serviced at least three (3) times a year.
For local customers in the Dade, Broward and West Palm Beach tri-county area, duplii offers a maintenance contract; which includes all service visits and parts.
3Who provides service and maintenance?
We provide maintenance, technical support and troubleshooting for local customers in the Dade, Broward and West Palm Beach tri-county area.
4What happens in the event of a power failure?
All duplii systems are gravity assisted in their retrieval cycle; therefore, they can be operated manually without power in order to return the platform to the ground.
